News and Resources for Airport Employees
Noah Juarez Honored with First Public Safety and Security Award of Excellence

Our Public Safety and Security team recently held their annual awards breakfast where they honored employees for their hard work, leadership and other notable accomplishments.

Worthy of an extra round of applause is Noah Juarez, who works in the Airport Communications Center and was awarded the very first Public Safety and Security Award of Excellence. This award was created to recognize Noah’s exceptional contributions to our core values of leadership, service and inclusion. In total, Noah received five nominations representing all three values, and as one PROPS recognition stated, "Every conversation ends with, 'Who was that? Noah? OMG, I love Noah!'"

To drive the point home, we're sharing some of the remarkable recognitions that Noah received below.

Inclusion

"Noah is a wealth of knowledge. He's always willing to answer questions about his work and explain various processes. While I can ask any dispatcher, I tend to ask him since he explains things in both a detailed and easy to understand manner for me. He always has his training hat on, so to speak. I never feel like I am inconveniencing him by asking my questions, which are sometimes multi-faceted."

Leadership

"Noah has a phenomenal work ethic. He's been praised on PROPS many times for his leadership and outstanding customer service. He is always kind, positive, compassionate and open-minded. He's the definition of an A+ employee, an A+ leader and an A+ person."

"Noah has steadfastly been training new dispatchers and call takers for years! Since he started training his first charge in May 2022, he has spent approximately 62% of his time training new people. That's 62% of his time focused on the future of the Airport Communications Center success. 62% of his time with a trainee attached to him, not able to do his own work, double focused on what needs to be done AND that someone else is doing it correctly. Noah embodies the motivating and positive attitudes that the Port values."

Service

"When I'm acting as the on-call Airport Security Coordinator and need to call the Comm Center, I can always count on Noah to be thorough in communicating all the details I need. He genuinely cares about his job, and it shows every time I talk to him. If I have to wake up in the middle of the night to respond to a page, I hope I get Noah on the other end of the phone! He is kind, funny and a joy to talk to."

"If I could check all three values of leadership, inclusion and service, I would. Noah exemplifies these values and is the best of the best at what he does. He is always patient, comforting, supportive and helpful, no matter what the situation. There's a certain level of comfort when you call the Comm Center and Noah answers. He puts you at ease and can even make you smile through tough situations"
