If you've been following the news, you know that the Administration began deploying U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents to select airports on Monday, March 23, to assist TSA security amid the partial federal shutdown.

It's important to know that ICE agents are not deployed to PDX at this time, and our airport operations are running as normal.

If you're traveling or have friends and family who are, know that we're experiencing no travel impacts and our wait times at security checkpoints are in normal ranges, even with this busy travel season – see current TSA wait times on the PDX website.

As always, we'll continue to closely monitor the situation to ensure PDX remains a safe and welcoming place for everyone.

Due to the executive memo announced Friday, March 27, TSA agents will begin receiving back pay. We do not yet have clarity around what the pay rules will be going forward, so we are temporarily suspending the donation bins and distribution center until we have more information. TSA agents are not allowed to accept gifts while being paid.
