Portland International Airport (PDX)

We make economic growth and global destinations more accessible to our region.

PDX is more than an airport. It’s like a small city. With nearly 10,000 employees, more than 130 businesses, and even our own police and fire departments, you can count on PDX to bring what’s best about our region to the world, and the world to your door.

The Local-est Airport Yet

PDX reflects the pride and love we all have for this region. It starts at the top with our mass timber roof, which was locally designed, sourced, and built using wood grown a day’s drive away. We then created space under our roof where local shops and restaurants could thrive, and the airport can continue to grow. At PDX, you can get where you need to go while enjoying the settings, styles, and flavors that make our region unique.

Where Safety and Efficiency Meet Experience

Whether you’ve traveled across the world or live just a few miles away, PDX takes care of you. Have accessibility needs? We’re here to make your journey easier. Need help navigating the terminal? Our team is ready. And if you have extra time, check out an art exhibit, relax under real trees, listen to live music, or catch a film.

Our Environmental Commitment

Airports are resource intensive. There’s no way around it. That’s why we’re taking steps to lower our carbon footprint and reduce emissions by electrifying vehicles and baggage handling equipment, installing efficient groundwater heating and cooling, and continuing to advocate for cleaner aviation fuel. Plus, with our new terminal, we’ve cut our energy use per square foot in half.
