Port of Portland Names Krishna Walker Chief Shared Prosperity and Legal Officer

The Port of Portland selected Krishna Walker as the new Chief Shared Prosperity and Legal Officer (CSPLO). Her start date will be May 4, 2026.

Most recently, Krishna served as Chief Legal and Corporate Affairs Officer at CareVet, where she led the legal process for over 200 business acquisitions and supported a tenfold increase in company growth over six years. Her experience includes senior leadership at Rabobank North America and well over a decade as outside general counsel for growing companies, including large nonprofit organizations. Her foundation in public stewardship began in 1995 with an appointment by Indiana Governor Evan Bayh to the Ball State University Board of Trustees.

"Krishna’s experience and success leading complex and broad portfolios of work stood out as we looked for the right leader to define this newly expanded role," said Curtis Robinhold, Port of Portland Executive Director. "Her ability to build genuine connections and maintain strong cohesion between her team’s work and an organization’s mission, vision, and values will be an asset to the Port."

The CSPLO oversees Human Resources, Legal and Records Management, Culture and Strategy, and Contracts and Procurement. The CSPLO will drive strategy at the intersection of law, people, culture, and public stewardship. This newly expanded role brings Culture and Strategy under its purview, strengthening and expanding the Port's strategy to ensure internal operations and culture embody our mission and values.

Krishna sees this role as a natural progression professionally, stating, "My career has been defined by my commitment to being a proactive partner who empowers an organization to reach its goals. I am inspired by the Port of Portland’s mission of building shared prosperity, and I'm eager to lead the teams that drive our ability to deliver on that promise."

Krishna holds a Juris Doctor from the University of Notre Dame Law School, a Master of Arts from Columbia University, and a Bachelor of Science from Ball State University. She and her husband are proud parents and enjoy spending time with their kids as they enter adulthood and establish themselves.  A resident of Beaverton since 2021, Krishna values the opportunity to invest her leadership into the future of her home region.
